‘Symphony No. 9’ to wrap up editing

The final editing stage for the Fajr Film Festival competitor ‘Symphony No. 9’ directed by Mohammad-Reza Honarmand is in progress.

The editing stage being done by two-time Fajr Film Festival winner, Mohammad-Reza Moueeni, the film is currently undergoing color correction phase by Houman Behmanesh who is also the director of photography in the project.

It should be mentioned that Behmanesh has won a Crystal Simorgh award for the movie ‘Searing Summer’ directed by Ebrahim Irajzad.

According to a media report, Farid Nazer-Fasihi has created the visual effects for the flick.

A brief synopsis of ‘Symphony No. 9’ reads, “Perhaps, falling in love is everyone’s last chance of being a human. Do you agree?”

Hamid Farrokhnejad, Mohammad-Reza Foroutan, Pejman Bazeghi, Mehrdad Seddiqian, Alireza Kamali and Hoda Zeinolabedin are among the cast members of the new film.

Established in 1982, the Fajr Film Festival celebrates cultural exchange, displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and pays tribute to local and international films.

Since its establishment, the Fajr Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of the Iranian Cinema.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.
